Most Utricularia (Bladderworts) will work with the same techniques & media.
For the most updated info check out the forum.

This was created to help make known acceptable Tissue Culture Media for people just getting started with their tissue culture kits. Follow the kits instructions for adding agar and detailed steps on tissue culture, I am just filling in some blanks and variables.

Bladderworts

Difficulty:      Moderate
Usable Parts:      Seeds, Stolons - Never tried aquatics

Sterilization:
A two hour soak in 1-50 PPM (2%) has worked best for me, both seeds and stolons. Rinse first.
Otherwise:
Seeds:     5 min. bleach/5 min. rinse
Stolons:     5 min. bleach/5 min. rinse

Media:
4 cups water | 1/4 teaspoon MS w/vitamins (25% MS) | 2 tablespoons sugar (25g) | 2 ml BAP (1mg/ml) | 1.5 ml PPM | PH 5.7

For seeds leave out the BAP. The easiest way to get more bladderworts is to simply divide them. For details on division please see the Bladderworts Propagation section.
