Coconut Husk

Coconut husk chips create a course airy moist soil. Coconut husk chips can hold up to 10 times its weight in moisture and remain extremely airy. Coconut Husk has a pH of 5.5 or so. We mainly use Coconut Husk in Nepenthes & Cephalotus Soil (they love it) but it can be used at up to 25% - 40% in most carnivorous plant soils. Coconut husk can also be used as a substitute for LFSM as a soil additive. Rinsed and ready to use. Soak it in water for 4 - 6 hrs to let it fully expand though.

Lasts up to 5 years!

Extremely hard to find in most locations.

We offer all of the listed carnivorous plant soil parts, and various mixes thereof, by the quart and gallon. Click the "CP Soil" link above to go to the store.
You can learn about other carnivorous plant soils by clicking on their names above.

Which is highly recommended.
