Cape Sundew (Typ) Drosera Capenesis is one of the more popular sundews and does not require a dormancy. Capensis eventually forms a stem after old growth dies. The elongated pads wrap around its prey. Drosera Capensis is very easy to grow. Cape Sundews require higher humidity, 40% +, and lots of light. Water using the tray method. Keep the soil moist and temps between 65 and 90 F. D. Capenesis is a spreading plant, often sprouting more plants up from its roots or base.
