This form of D. intermedia grows naturally in Europe, Canada and the United States. This is a pad sundew that requires a winter dormancy capable of taking temps down to -50F.

They like being wet at all times, let dry considerably during dormancy though. Keep water in the water tray at all times or grow in drainless pots/bowls. Grow them in lfsm or 2/1 peat/perlite. They can be grown like terrestrial bladderworts so far as water is concerned.

These like lots of light but avoid direct afternoon sun. In lower light levels they grow mainly green but in bright light they can be almost solid maroon.
