Japanese Aldrovanda, or the waterwheel plant, is an aquatic rootless plant related to the Venus Flytrap. It is a rare and endangered species. It was wide spread at one time but faces extinction now. Please view the Aldrovanda care section for how to care for these plants. The traps function much like a flytraps, snapping shut. They can eat rather large prey for their size. They are simply an amazing plant. You need to grow them in at least 5 gal. of "brown water" though. Please look over the care section before ordering. If you spend a little time and effort on these plants they will keep you amazed in return. They grow extremely fast!
