Cephalotus LRG
Cephalotus LRG
Australian Pitcher Plant - LARGE
Cephalotus follicularis naturally grows in SW Australia. Keep it damp but not wet and in temps from 65° - 85° F. Does best in 50% shade with humidity above 60%. Cephalotus follicularis needs no dormancy. See the Cephalotus care section for more info.

The large cephalotus are almost mature plants producing near full size pitchers. They are rooted in very well and are best for those wanting large pitchers now. Pitcher height averages from 1/2" - 1".

Cephalotus enjoys well drained airy soil. You can use peat moss, perlite, charcoal, coconut husk or long fiber sphagnum moss in their soil. We sell pre-mixed Cephalotus soil if you don't want to mix your own. 100% Long Fiber Sphagnum moss works well too.

You should start these in a pot large enough to not disturb them for a year or so. This will allow them to get settled in well. For Large and Medium a 6" - 8" pot is best.

Care sheet included.
